Operation: Hamburger Hill
Date—12-10-2011 @ 0900, game time starts at 1000 sharp.
Location—4631 S. Racine, Chicago, IL, 60609
"Players coming and STAYING, drive to the 4700 S. Morgan Entrance. You'll see a gate marked with yellow tape. For player being DROPPED off, go to the 4631 S. Racine Address. A ref will be there.
Cost--$20 at the gate. All proceeds go to Tactical Airsoft Sporting Association, which will help with getting the TASA Store open.
Arrive at the field no later than 0945 for registration, chrono, and rule briefing.Game will start at 1000 sharp. If you are late, you will still be allowed to enter with no consequences. You just wont get as much game time.
This scenario will start at 1000. We will break at 1230 for lunch. Game will resume at 1330, and end at 1600.
The three red dots represent “bases” which will be cones.
The yellow dot represents Team A
The blue dot represents Team B
At the start of the game, each team will be touching the cone at their designated start point. When the refs yell start, each team will attempt to secure Base C (middle of the depot.) Once a team has secured Base C, they must leave a member of the team within a 10 foot radius of the cone for a period of 3 minutes. After that time, that team has control of the base.
If the player within the 10 foot radius gets wounded, and no-one else is in the circle, time stops. Time will resume when a medic gets to him, or when someone else steps in the circle.
If a player from the other team makes it into the circle, he must touch the cone for the other team to lose control.
Example—team A secures base C first. They leave a man inside the circle for 3 minutes and take full control of the base. 5 minutes later, Team B touches the cone. Team A’s time stops. Once a team has secured the base again, they must remain in the center for 3 minutes to control the base. (very similar to King of the Hill in Call of Duty games)
A ref will always remain within sight of Base C. Once a team has full control, the ref will keep track of the time they have control. When that team loses control, the ref will stop the timer.
EXAMPLE—Team A gains control of Base C. Ref will start the timer and will let it run till Team B touches the cone. Once that happens, the Ref will stop the timer and mark down the time in a notebook, or can radio the time to the HQ.
After the round is over (anywhere from an hour or longer, depending on the size of the teams,) the refs will calculate the total time each team had control of base C. The team with the longest time wins the round. After a break, and when everyone is ready to play again, game will restart with teams switching sides. Players can switch the teams up if wanted.
